How Long Does Precast Concrete Fence Installation Take?

Faster Than You'd Expect

One of the most common misconceptions about concrete fences is that installation takes weeks. In reality, most residential precast concrete fence projects are completed in 1–3 days. That's comparable to — or faster than — a wood fence installation.

The secret is in the "precast" part. Our panels are manufactured in our factory, fully cured, and ready to install. There's no on-site concrete pouring, no waiting for curing, no multi-week construction timeline.

The Complete Timeline

Step 1: Free Estimate (Day 1)

Contact us for a free on-site assessment. Our team visits your property, takes measurements, discusses your goals, and provides a detailed written quote. Typical turnaround: 24–48 hours.

Step 2: Design & Engineering (1–2 Weeks)

Once you approve the quote, we handle:

  • Final design and texture selection
  • Engineering calculations (for walls over 6 feet)
  • Permit applications (if required by your jurisdiction)
  • Panel manufacturing at our Pomona facility
  • Scheduling your installation date

Step 3: Installation (1–3 Days)

Installation day is where the magic happens:

  • Morning: Crew arrives, sets up, and begins post hole excavation
  • Midday: Posts are set in concrete footings and panels begin sliding into place
  • Afternoon: Panels continue installation, caps are placed, and cleanup begins
  • For larger projects: Additional days follow the same efficient pattern

Step 4: Final Inspection & Walkthrough

We conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure everything meets your expectations. If permits were pulled, we schedule the final inspection with your local building department.

What Affects Installation Time?

  • Project size: 100 linear feet = ~1 day. 300+ linear feet = 2–3 days.
  • Terrain: Slopes and rocky soil add time for post excavation
  • Access: Tight access areas may require hand-carrying panels
  • Old fence removal: Add half a day if we're removing an existing fence
  • Gates: Custom gate installation adds time depending on size and type

Compare to Alternatives

Fence TypeTypical Install Time (200 ft)
Wood fence1–3 days
Vinyl fence1–2 days
Precast concrete1–3 days
Block wall (CMU)1–3 weeks
Wrought iron3–5 days

Precast concrete installs as fast as wood or vinyl — but lasts 5x longer. And compared to a traditional block wall (which takes weeks), it's dramatically faster.
